Students enjoy Nuthtown, the pretend community with stores, a bank, jobs and more.

The school buzzed with enthusiasm and joy during Wednesday’s annual “Nuthtown” event at Cedar Trails Elementary. Students holding handfuls of pretend dollar bills shopped at booths hosted by students from Kaitlin Nuth’s Learning Resource Center 2 (LRC2) class. Others hustled back out to the hallway, where they could complete a variety of “jobs” for paper tickets. Next, students could turn in tickets from jobs at the Nuthtown Bank, for more play money.

Cedar Trails Principal Tera Coyle

Meet Principal Tera Coyle

Hi, Cedar Trails families! When I think about the best things about my job as a principal, the KIDS are what comes to mind. It’s so awesome to see them grow socially, emotionally and academically. A few fun facts about me: I loved the book “Eragon,” my favorite kind of food is Thai food, and I would love to visit Italy someday. I have played soccer most of my life, and still enjoy watching as much soccer as I can!
