Strategic planning work proceeds this week, with a work study session prior to the regular School Board meeting as well as a regular session discussion item. The district is creating a three-year strategic plan that will identify specific goals, strategies for reaching those goals, and metrics to measure progress.
At this week’s School Board meeting, staff and board members will continue discussions about the 2023-24 budget process. The recommended reduction for next year is about $9.8 million, with 81% of that amount at the central Administration Building and Operations. A Reduction in Force (RIF) of certificated staff members is not part of the proposed reductions.
It’s kindergarten registration season! Do you live in the Issaquah School District and have a student who will be 5 years old by Aug. 31, 2023? It’s time to register your student for kindergarten for the fall of 2023!
