Cedar Trails Students, Staff, Families Celebrated at Dedication

Student leaders and staff perform the Wolf Pack Pledge, verbally and in sign language.

The Cedar Trails Elementary School community gathered on Aug. 29 for a dedication ceremony before the school's Meet the Teacher event. "It was so wonderful to see so many familiar and fresh faces. There were lots of smiles and hugs which felt 'normal.' I am so incredibly impressed with our community!" Principal Tera Coyle said.

The dedication included a Land Acknowledgement; staff introductions; the "Wolf Pack Pledge" (led by staff and student leaders and also in sign language); and remarks from Coyle and members of the staff core team, which helped plan the preparation for, the opening of and the transitions for the new school. Moonlight the Wolf also attended, and the PTSA provided donuts and other festive touches to the event.

While a brief ribbon-cutting was held in August of 2021, we were excited to have the opportunity to invite the full staff, students and families to take part in this fun and memorable day. Cedar Trails Elementary was built using funds from the voter-approved 2016 bond measure
